Job Details

Interaction Recruitment is looking to recruit 6 Truck & Van Fitters:

If you are an experienced vehicle fitter wanting to join a company on a permanent basis, apply today for an immediate start.

The role is onsite in Fishponds, Bristol, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30 am - 4 pm. Overtime may be required.

The focus is constructing commercial vehicle bodies, including tippers, box vans, drop sides, specialist builds, van conversions, and accessories.

Primary Responsibilities

• Fitting, assembling, and installing parts/components to light commercial vehicles to create van conversions per specifications.
• Reading and understanding drawings, instructions, and data to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Adhering to job packs to ensure correct parts and components are used.
• Operating basic cutting machinery and hand tools.
• Handling materials like aluminium, steel, GRP, and timber.
• Performing drilling, cutting, riveting, bolting, and screwing.
• Conforming to safety regulations.
• Working independently or as part of a team.
• Ensuring a high standard of finish on new vehicle chassis.

Working Conditions and Manual Handling

• Handling goods, parts, and fabrications, which may be heavy or awkward, following safety guidelines.
• Long periods of standing.
• Potential work at other sites, outdoors or in different areas as directed.
