Job summary

Valeo Foods UK at the Heanor site is seeking a confident Production Trainer to support our production teams. You will deliver hands-on training, ensure colleagues are trained and signed off, and maintain training records on a fast-moving food production line.

In addition to training duties, you will work as a Skilled Operative during peak periods, handling tray loading, weighing, and packaging tasks while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Food Safety Level 2
• Health & Safety Level 2
• Train the Trainer qualification (desirable)
• Experience within food manufacturing
• Confident communicator with strong coaching ability
• Flexible, reliable and comfortable balancing training with production duties
• Positive attitude and ability to role model company values

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on production training across shifts.
• Provide site orientation and support for new starters.
• Create and manage onboarding training plans.
• Maintain the training matrix and training records.
• Adapt training styles to suit individual needs.
• Act as SME within assigned areas and keep process knowledge up to date.
• Produce SOPs, risk assessments and training materials as required.
• Support peak recruitment and expedite issues promptly.
• Work as a Skilled Operative when not training, including tray loading, weighing, pot feeding and stacking, hopper filling, operating production lines and packaging equipment, temperature checks and documentation, cleaning, changeovers, allergen control and quality checks.
