Job summary

Qualifications

• Completed apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Proven multi-skilled maintenance experience - Mechanical and Electrical.
• Flexible across machines and disciplines.
• 18th Edition qualification (advantageous).
• Experience with DC drives/motors and Allen Bradley PLCs (plus).
• Tool Room Equipment proficiency (lathe, mill, drills) is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine maintenance on production equipment to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including engineers and quality control personnel, to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, resolve production issues, and implement process improvements.
• Calibrates equipment used in production processes such as pressure transducers, scales, thermocouples etc. to ensure validity of manufactured products.
• Takes responsibility for identifying spare parts from suppliers and raising internal order requisitions to prevent production delays.

Job Overview

Join TE Connectivity’s Maintenance Team supporting the Materials Manufacturing Facility, where compounds are produced for wire and cable manufacturing and global distribution. You’ll work with mixers, twin screws, extruders, chillers, driers, cutters, and more.This role demands quick response to breakdowns, strong fault diagnosis skills (electrical andmechanical), and mentoring apprentices. You’ll also contribute to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement projects

Job Requirements

• Performs routine maintenance on production equipment to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including engineers and quality control personnel, to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, resolve production issues, and implement process improvements.
• Works in a safe manner at all times not putting themselves or others at risk from their actions
• Calibrates equipment used in production processes such as pressure transducers, scales, thermocouples etc. to ensure validity of manufactured products
• Supports other areas of production as requiredTakes responsibility for the identification of spare parts from suppliers and requesting the raising of internal order requisitions to ensure the production process is not affected by parts shortages.
