Job summary

TE Connectivity’s Maintenance Team is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician (Multi-Skilled) for the Materials Manufacturing Facility in Swindon. You will work nights, maintain equipment such as mixers, extruders, chiller units, and other components, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate, diagnose, and resolve faults.

You will contribute to TPM, RCA, and continuous improvement, while mentoring apprentices and ensuring safe operations under EH&S policies.

Qualifications

• Completed apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Proven multi-skilled maintenance experience across electrical and mechanical disciplines.
• Experience with CMMS and root cause analysis is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on maintenance and TPM tasks.
• Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Minimize downtime and maintain high equipment standards.
• Maintain safety and follow EH&S policies.
• Log activities in CMMS and communicate across teams.
• Diagnose faults and request spare parts as needed.
• Support RCA investigations and implement countermeasures.

Job Overview

Join TE Connectivity’s Maintenance Team supporting the Materials Manufacturing Facility, where compounds are produced for wire and cable manufacturing and global distribution. You’ll work with mixers, twin screws, extruders, chillers, driers, cutters, and more.This role demands quick response to breakdowns, strong fault diagnosis skills (electrical andmechanical), and mentoring apprentices. You’ll also contribute to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement projects

What your background should look like

• Flexible across machines and disciplines
• 18th Edition qualification (advantageous)
• Experience with DC drives/motors and Allen Bradley PLCs (plus)
• Tool Room Equipment proficiency (lathe, mill, drills, etc.) is a bonus.
