Job summary

Marshalls plc in the Beenham/Reading area is seeking a Production Team Manager to lead a team of production operatives and oversee operations including safety, quality, waste and OEE targets. You will ensure that process control checks and records meet the company standards, and manage the escalation and containment of quality incidents through the formal non-conformance process.

Strong people and IT skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent people management skills, including absence management.
• Experience maximizing potential of others through development and performance management.
• Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Knowledge of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Experience in implementing continuous improvement/lean techniques (DMAIC) is advantageous.
• OSH/NEBOSH General Certificate or related qualifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Production Operatives and oversee safety, quality, waste and OEE targets.
• Ensure process control checks and records are completed to company standards and escalate/review quality incidents via non-conformance processes.
• Contain/ control affected products or material in case of quality incidents.

Salary up to £45,000 pa
Hours of Work - 40 hours per week (Two-week rotating shift pattern: Week 1 -Monday to Friday 6:00am - 2:00pm& Week 2 - Monday to Friday 2:00pm - 10:00pm)

You will lead a team of Production Operatives and operational activities defined to your area, some of which include overall safe operation of plant and equipment, safety, quality, waste and OEE targets and people management. You'll ensure that process control checks and records are completed to company standards and escalation and management of quality incidents through a non-conformance process, guaranteeing all affected products or material is contained/controlled.

• Excellent people management skills - employee relations, absence management etc.

• Experience of maximising the potential of others including development and performance management

• Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word etc)

• Knowledge & understanding of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)

• Experience in implementing continuous improvement/lean manufacturing techniques eg DMAIC, would be an advantage

• OSH Managing Safely / NEBOSH General Certificate and other relevant qualifications eg ILM, Lean Six Sigma desirable
