The Sterling Choice is sourcing a Production Team Manager for a busy food manufacturing site in Lancashire. You will own your production line, oversee planning, processing, packing and dispatch, and lead a team to deliver safety, quality and efficiency metrics.
You will coach, develop and motivate your staff, drive improvements, resolve root causes and work closely with the Production Manager to raise standards and performance across the operation.
Lancashire | £45,000 | Monday to Friday | Double Days
There's a difference between running a production line and actually managing one.
Making sure everyone turns up, the line keeps moving and the numbers get hit is one thing.
Understanding why those numbers aren't being hit, developing the people around you and making improvements that actually stick? That's something else entirely.
We're recruiting a Production Team Manager for an established food manufacturing business in Lancashire.
This isn't a role where you'll be standing on the sidelines watching production happen. You'll have responsibility for your own production line, managing everything from planning and preparation through to processing, packing and getting the finished product out of the door.
You'll be leading the people, driving performance and making sure safety, quality, efficiency and cost are all where they need to be.
First and foremost, you must have experience managing people within a food manufacturing environment.
We're looking for someone who understands the realities of a busy factory. Someone who's comfortable on the shop floor, knows how to get the best out of their team and doesn't need everything explaining to them when production doesn't go to plan.
You might currently be a Production Team Manager, Area Manager, Shift Manager or an experienced Production Supervisor ready for more responsibility.
Experience within a fast-paced, high-volume food manufacturing environment would be ideal.
But more importantly, we want someone who can demonstrate they've improved performance, developed people and taken genuine ownership of their area.
If you're currently managing a production team in food manufacturing and feel you're capable of more than simply keeping the lines running, this could be worth a conversation.
