Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting an experienced Production Team Leader to join a growing manufacturing business near Dunkeswell, Honiton, Devon. You will lead a production team, ensuring targets, quality, safety and efficiency are achieved.

Role offers day shifts, a 4-day working week, and a temp-to-perm or permanent path with full training and career progression.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Production Team Leader or in a similar senior operator role.
• Experience in a manufacturing, FMCG, or food production environment.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Ability to organise workloads and prioritise tasks.
• Understanding of health and safety, quality standards, and production processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of Production Operatives to meet daily targets and customer requirements.
• Organise workloads, allocate tasks, and monitor progress to maximise output and minimise downtime.
• Maintain high standards of product quality and accuracy; complete production paperwork and records.
• Promote health and safety standards and support training and development of team members.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and assist with resolving production issues.

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for an experienced Production Team Leader to join a successful and growing manufacturing business based in Dunkeswell, near Honiton, Devon.

You will play a key role in leading a production team, ensuring operational targets are achieved while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Please note: Due to the location, applicants must have their own transport.

What We Offer

• £17.50 per hour for the first 38 hours worked.
• £26.25 per hour overtime after 38 hours.
• £35.00 per hour Sunday overtime.
• Day shifts.
• Monday to Friday, 6am-4pm.
• 4-day working week.
• One fixed weekday off each week on a rota.
• Every weekend off, with Sunday overtime available if required.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of Production Operatives.

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience as a Production Team Leader, Manufacturing Team Leader, Production Supervisor, Shift Leader, Senior Operator, or Senior Production Operative.
• Experience within a manufacturing, production, FMCG, food production, or factory environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to organise workloads and prioritise tasks.
• Confident decision-making and problem-solving ability.
• Understanding of health and safety, quality standards, and production processes.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Own transport essential due to the location.
