Job summary

TBC Conversions in Bromborough is seeking an experienced Production Team Leader to manage a hands-on team and deliver high-quality wheelchair-accessible vehicle conversions safely and efficiently.

You will diagnose issues, find root causes, coach staff, maintain records, and work with other departments to meet daily targets while upholding ISO standards.

This role demands practical leadership, a technical background in vehicle systems, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Previous Team Leader, Supervisor or similar experience within an automotive, vehicle conversion, manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Strong diagnostic, fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Good practical knowledge of vehicle systems, mechanical or electrical components and/or manufacturing processes.
• Ability to lead, coach and motivate a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical support, including diagnostics, fault finding and resolving production or vehicle conversion issues.
• Troubleshoot problems, identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Monitor quality and productivity, addressing issues before they impact production.
• Coach and develop team members, sharing technical knowledge and supporting training needs.
• Work with the Production Manager and other departments to resolve production challenges and maintain workflow.
• Perform service checks, repairs and post-repair road tests.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste and prevent supply chain shortages.
• Maintain records, job cards and compliance with health, safety, and ISO standards.

TBC Conversions is a leading vehicle conversion company specialising in wheelchair-accessible vehicles, minibuses and bespoke vehicle conversions.

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Production Team Leader to join our team in Bromborough. You will lead and support production, delivering high-quality vehicle conversions safely and efficiently.

A key part of the role will be diagnostics, fault finding and problem-solving. You will use your technical knowledge and experience to support when issues arise, identify root causes and find practical solutions to keep production moving and maintain our quality standards.
