Job summary

CLEAN Linen & Workwear is recruiting for a Production Team Leader to oversee a team of Operatives, ensuring KPI delivery and high quality service in a fast-paced laundry environment.

You will train staff, maintain standards, and address HR issues while working closely with the Production Manager to hit shift targets. Experience in a laundry is a plus; training will be provided. This is a hands-on role requiring a proactive team player.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a team in a production/industrial environment.
• Strong English communication skills (spoken and written).
• Exposure to handling staff HR issues (disciplinaries/investigations/Return to Work).
• Experience in a laundry setting is beneficial but full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Production Operatives to deliver KPIs and quality targets.
• Ensure training and compliance with standards across the team.
• Handle HR matters including disciplinaries and investigations, coordinating with HR as needed.
• Collaborate with the Production Manager to meet shift targets and resolve production issues.
• Support a diverse, multi-cultural team and promote a collaborative working environment.

Job description

As a Production Team Leader with us, you will take responsibility for managing a number of Production Operatives and ensure KPI's are delivered, with a focus on quality and customer service. You will ensure all Operatives are trained and that standards are maintained and followed, including dealing with any HR issues such as disciplinaries/investigations/Return to Work interviews. You will also be responsible for resolving all production issues in your area and will work closely with the Production Manager to ensure shift targets are met.

This is a hands‑on role, where you will need to "roll‑up your sleeves" and muck in.

The key thing here is your experience in managing/supervising a team in a multi‑cultural environment. This is ESSENTIAL.
You will need a good level of spoken and written English (our business language), be a team player and will ideally have had exposure to dealing with staff HR issues.
Previous experience in a laundry would of course be beneficial, however full training will be provided.
You need to be aged 18 or over and have proof of eligibility to work in the UK, plus have a bank account in your name or as part of a joint account.

£30,411.38, per annum, plus Pension Scheme, Life Assurance, Employee Assistance Programme, Recommend a Friend Bonus Scheme, Performance Awards, Long Service Awards and opportunities for training and career progression.

Our Slough site are excited to be recruiting for a Production Team Leader on a full time, permanent basis. The role operates on a 4 on 2 off shift pattern, including weekends, with the shift running from 6.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m.
