Job summary

Elis UK is seeking a hands-on Production Leader for the Kendal site, overseeing the afternoon shift and driving performance across production teams.

You will work with the Operations Manager to maximise production, develop your team, and embed a culture of continuous improvement while ensuring excellent service delivery to customers.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in production or operational management.
• Strong leadership with experience developing teams.
• Experience working to KPIs and performance targets.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience managing performance, attendance and operational standards.
• Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
• Experience in manufacturing, textiles, logistics, laundry or hospitality.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma or continuous improvement principles.
• IOSH qualification or equivalent Health & Safety knowledge.
• Degree-level education or equivalent operational experience.

• Ensure customer deliveries are achieved on time and to the highest quality standards.
• Drive operational performance against key business metrics, including quality, productivity and service levels.

• Monitor staffing levels and resources to meet changing customer demands.
• Work collaboratively with account managers and internal stakeholders to maintain exceptional service delivery.
• Identify and implement process improvements using Lean and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Maintain compliance with Health & Safety requirements and company standards.
• Support operational planning during seasonal peaks and changing business demands.

Production Leader (PM Shift) | Kendal | Elis UK

Join Elis UK, the nation's leading hospitality laundry and linen services provider, supporting some of the UK's best-known hotels, restaurants and leisure venues. We're looking for an experienced Production Leader to join our Kendal site, leading our afternoon shift operation and driving performance across our production teams.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 2:30pm – 11:00pm

The Role

Working closely with the Operations Manager and wider site leadership team, you'll be responsible for maximising production performance, developing your team, embedding a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring excellent service delivery for our customers.

You'll play a critical role in maintaining quality standards, achieving operational KPIs and ensuring the site operates safely and efficiently.
