bbe Recruitment is seeking a Production Section / Team Leader for a cable joining and accessory manufacturer based in Rochester. This full-time role offers a salary of £35,000 - £42,000 per year and rotating shifts 6:00am - 2:00pm / 2:00pm - 10:00pm.

You will supervise a small production team, ensure machine safety and efficiency, react quickly to issues and drive continuous improvement while upholding high health, safety and quality standards across the plant.

We are currently recruiting for a Production Section / Team Leader to join a cable joining and accessory manufacturer supplying to the rail and electric energy industries based in Rochester.

This is a full-time position offering a salary of £35,000 - £42,000 per year, depending on experience and knowledge, working rotating shifts of 6:00am - 2:00pm and 2:00pm - 10:00pm

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, this is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for supervising a small production team whilst ensuring machinery, plant and processes are running safely and efficiently. You\'ll be expected to react quickly to production issues, minimise downtime and help maintain continuous production.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the day-to-day operation of a production section and supervising a small team
• Setting, operating and troubleshooting machinery and production processes
• Responding quickly to machine and process issues to minimise downtime
• Ensuring production equipment is running safely and efficiently
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the production area
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety, quality and housekeeping
• Working closely with the Manufacturing Manager to achieve production targets

Candidates with experience in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, chemical, process, automotive, food, FMCG, life sciences, or other regulated production environments would be well suited to this opportunity. Applicants with a strong engineering background, experience setting and running plant or automated equipment, and a track record of leading production teams are encouraged to apply.

Experience with Lean Manufacturing, GMP, continuous improvement, process safety, quality systems, or regulated manufacturing standards would be advantageous
