Job summary

NW Recruitment Services Ltd in Accrington is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a manufacturing team, ensuring safe, efficient operations that meet schedules and customer expectations.

You will drive Lean initiatives, monitor KPIs, coach staff and collaborate with maintenance, engineering and quality teams to uphold high standards of quality and productivity. A strong focus on training and people development is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement knowledge.
• Proven leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organised with the ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.
• Ability to collaborate across departments.
• Understanding of modern upholstery techniques.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop the production team to achieve targets.
• Ensure safe systems of work in line with Health & Safety legislation.
• Maintain high standards of product quality and meet customer requirements.
• Monitor KPIs and drive improvements in productivity and efficiency.
• Lead daily SQCDPE meetings and communicate priorities and performance.
• Identify training and development needs and ensure staff are trained accordingly.
• Support recruitment, appraisals, performance management and ER processes.
• Promote Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement across the department.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, CI and Resource Planning teams.
• Ensure production output meets schedules and standards.
