Job summary

British Engines Group is seeking a production supervisor to lead and coordinate daily manufacturing activities. You will monitor productivity, ensure quality and safety, and drive continuous improvement while managing attendance and shift handovers in a continental shift pattern (two dayshift, two nightshift, four days off).

The role requires experience supervising a team in a shop-floor environment, with strong organisational skills and the ability to communicate clearly under pressure.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment with team supervision.
• Understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Good organisation and planning skills; clear communication; ability to stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily production activities to meet output, quality and delivery targets.
• Monitor productivity, efficiency and downtime; support short-term planning and resource allocation.
• Promote safe systems of work and ensure procedures are followed.
• Support risk assessments, safety briefings and incident reporting.
• Ensure products meet drawings, specs, and quality standards; promote right first time.
• Lead, coach and support team members; manage attendance and conduct.
• Maintain accurate production records and ensure effective shift handovers.
• Identify operational issues; support corrective action and continuous improvement.
• Monitor production performance; support cost control and waste reduction.
