Job summary

Escape in Scotland is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to support the Production Manager in a busy South Lanarkshire manufacturing operation. This hands-on role requires coordinating workload, monitoring productivity and ensuring production targets, quality standards and customer deadlines are met.

You will lead an allocated production team, drive planning and scheduling, and uphold safety, quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience in a similar production/supervisory environment.
• Previous experience supervising or leading a production team.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Ability to allocate workload effectively and manage competing priorities.
• Proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work to production targets and customer deadlines.
• Good attention to quality, accuracy and process.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and coordinating a production team to achieve planned targets and deadlines.
• Planning team workload to maximise productivity and efficiency.
• Monitoring production progress and ensuring customer commitments are achieved.
• Reviewing processes and identifying opportunities to improve quality, efficiency and cost.
• Ensuring employees understand and correctly use equipment and processes.
• Identifying training and development requirements within the team.
• Supporting the development and training of apprentices and less experienced employees.
• Managing the ordering and control of materials and other items required for your production area.
• Completing regular production and process audits.
• Monitoring production tracking systems to ensure accurate job and product traceability.
• Ensuring accurate information is available for reporting purposes.
• Working closely with the Production Manager and other supervisors to maintain smooth production flow.
