Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be supporting an established specialist engineering manufacturer in Huddersfield to recruit a Production Supervisor. This is a varied position combining day-to-day production leadership with practical engineering support, continuous improvement and responsibility for quality, safety and performance.

You’ll be joining a close-knit manufacturing operation where you can make a genuine impact on the factory floor.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising within engineering or manufacturing.
• Time-served engineering background.
• Ability to operate lathes and milling machines is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and process-improvement skills.
• Confident communication and people management abilities.
• Flexible, hands-on approach with overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Managing production staffing and daily shop-floor activities
• Ensuring output, quality and delivery targets are achieved
• Leading, developing and motivating production employees
• Supporting assembly and testing of products when required
• Maintaining maintenance and improvement of production equipment and tooling
• Troubleshooting manufacturing issues and identifying root causes
• Supporting continuous improvement projects and future business growth
• Maintaining strong communication across the production team
• Ensuring health, safety and environmental procedures are followed
• Maintaining high housekeeping standards and a clean, safe workplace
