Job summary

Vertiv Co in Campsie is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor for the Copper Department. You will oversee multiple production teams in a fast-paced facility, driving output, quality, and safety while developing staff.

The role requires at least four years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, strong leadership and communication, and ability to set up high-volume lines. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is preferred. IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition is desirable.

Qualifications

• Support cost reduction initiatives and minimise overtime where possible.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Production/Operations Copper Manager - the successful candidate will oversee multiple production teams within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for leading, motivating, and developing teams while ensuring production targets, quality standards, and health & safety requirements are consistently achieved.

This role would suit a proactive, hands-on individual with strong leadership and communication skills, who is passionate about team development, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities:

• Drive production output and efficiency while maintaining high standards of quality and health & safety.
• Lead, motivate, and support production teams to achieve operational targets.
• Monitor performance and conduct, providing coaching, feedback, and performance reviews where required.
• Work closely with Production Management, Scheduling, Logistics, Engineering, and Stores teams to ensure production deadlines are achieved.
• Support Team Leads with technical guidance and problem-solving.
• Conduct return-to-work interviews, disciplinary meetings, and employee reviews in line with company procedures.
• Identify training and development needs alongside the in-house Technical Trainer.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives and maintain high housekeeping standards across production areas.
• Support cost reduction initiatives and minimise overtime where possible.
• Assist with the setup and optimisation of high-volume production lines for existing and new products.

Essential Skills, Qualifications/Experience:

• A proactive approach with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
