Job summary

Escape is seeking a Production Supervisor for our Scotland manufacturing operation. You will lead a hands-on production team on a Monday to Friday day shift, ensuring daily targets are met safely, efficiently and to high quality standards.

You will coordinate people and production activities, monitor productivity, quality and waste, and support the Training and development of employees while maintaining GMP and health & safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supervising or leading a team in manufacturing.
• Strong people-management and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage performance, attendance and day-to-day staff issues.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Experience in FMCG or high-volume manufacturing advantageous.
• IOSH or SVQ supervisory qualification beneficial.

• Supervising, motivating and supporting a production team.
• Ensuring daily production plans and targets are achieved.

• Monitoring productivity, quality, downtime, changeovers and waste.

Monday - Friday | Day Shift

Are you an experienced Production Supervisor, Production Team Leader or Manufacturing Supervisor looking for a new opportunity with a well-established manufacturing business?

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Supervisor to join a busy manufacturing operation, where you will play a key role in leading a production team and ensuring daily targets are achieved safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

This is a hands-on supervisory position, ideal for someone who enjoys being visible on the shop floor, leading from the front and getting the best out of their team.

The Role

As Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of people and production activities, working closely with the Production Manager and other departments to ensure the operation runs efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising, motivating and supporting a production team


• Ensuring daily production plans and targets are achieved


• Coordinating people and resources across the production operation


• Monitoring productivity, quality, downtime, changeovers and waste


• Supporting the Production Manager with day-to-day operational issues


• Ensuring Health & Safety procedures are followed


• Maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene and GMP


• Completing production and manufacturing documentation


• Managing first-line employee matters including attendance, absence, holidays and performance


• Conducting return-to-work discussions and team communications


• Supporting the training, coaching and development of employees


• Identifying operational issues and implementing practical solutions


• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives

About You

We're looking for someone with:

• Previous experience supervising or leading a team within a manufacturing or fast-paced production environment


• Strong people-management and leadership skills


• The confidence to manage performance, attendance and day-to-day employee issues


• Good understanding of Health & Safety


• Strong communication and organisational skills


• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentExperience within FMCG or another high-volume manufacturing environment would be advantageous.


• IOSH, SVQ or another relevant supervisory qualification would also be beneficial, although not essential.
