Elevation Recruitment Group are partnering with a well-established manufacturing business in Doncaster to recruit a Paint Supervisor who will lead the paint line and a team of around 10 staff. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on safe, efficient operation and delivering the required finish.

You will bring experience with industrial paint, coating or anodising processes, a clear understanding of process control, surface preparation and coating quality standards, and the ability to coach

Responsibilities

  • Manage production plans to hit output, quality, cost and delivery targets.
  • Oversee paint and coating processes to ensure finish and quality standards are met.

Job description

Elevation Recruitment Group are excited to be exclusively partnered with a well-established manufacturing business in Doncaster to recruit a Paint Supervisor to lead its paint-line operation and a team of approximately 10 employees.

This is a hands-on leadership position rather than a desk-based role. You’ll take ownership of the day-to-day running of the paint department, ensuring the line operates safely, efficiently and consistently delivers the required quality standards.

Alongside your leadership experience, you must have previous experience working with industrial paint, coating or anodising processes. You’ll understand the importance of process control, surface preparation, quality standards and maintaining consistent finishes within a production environment.

Working hours: 8am-4pm, Monday to Friday

Duties of the Paint Supervisor will include:

  • Taking full ownership of the day-to-day operation and performance of the paint line
  • Leading a team of approximately 10, including shift leaders, operators and quality control employees
  • Coaching, developing and motivating the team to create an engaged and accountable culture
  • Managing production plans to ensure output, quality, cost and delivery targets are achieved
  • Overseeing paint and coating processes to ensure products meet the required finish and quality standards
  • Maintaining effective process controls across areas such as preparation, application, curing and inspection
  • Investigating paint defects, quality concerns and production issues, implementing corrective actions where required
  • Monitoring productivity, downtime, scrap, rework and cost, and driving improvements against these measures
  • Working closely with maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and minimise line downtime
  • Ensuring paint materials, chemicals and consumables are managed safely and effectively
  • Maintaining full compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements
  • Promoting continuous improvement across the department

We're keen to speak with Paint Supervisors with the below skills & experience:

  • Previous leadership experience within a manufacturing or production environment
  • Essential experience of industrial paint, coating or anodising processes
  • A good understanding of process control, surface preparation and coating quality standards
  • Strong people-management skills, with experience coaching and developing production teams
  • The ability to identify and resolve process, quality and operational issues
  • Good knowledge of production planning and performance management
