Job summary

PPG's Runcorn Plant is seeking a Production Shift Leader to supervise multi‑line production, ensure quality and efficiency, and uphold safety standards on site. You will manage daily workflow and shift resources while promoting a high‑performing team environment.

You will also lead toolbox talks, train operators, and drive continuous improvement through Lean practices to meet operational deadlines and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to supervise cross‑functional production teams.
• Experience applying lean manufacturing principles in a factory setting.
• Strong communication and decision‑making under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Ensure batch off procedures meet quality standards per Shop Orders.
• Lead, supervise and support direct reports across production processes.
• Prioritise and manage daily workflow to meet deadlines.
• Oversee overtime and shift allocations for efficient resource use.
• Conduct toolbox talks and drive education and cultural change on quality and service.
• Train operators on procedures and maintain training matrices.
