Job summary

PPG in Runcorn is seeking a Production Operator to manufacture coatings to high quality using shop orders and process control systems. You will work on rotating shifts (06:00-14:00 and 13:00-21:00) and support continuous improvement while maintaining safety and housekeeping.

You will be responsible for following guidelines, operating equipment, managing materials, and ensuring compliance with health and safety policies.

Qualifications

• FLT license preferred.
• Ability to process/manage Lean principles.
• Good communication skills.
• Good organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Process/manufacture products to the highest quality as per Shop Orders and guidelines.
• 37.5 hours per week on rotating shifts (06.00–14.00 and 13.00–21.00).
• Advise on quality issues/shortages to Production Manager/Shift Managers.
• Assist to continually improve/advise on procedures in the work areas.
• Ensure safety checks for FLT/Reach trucks and daily checks.
• Clean and maintain equipment per 5s requirements.
• Maintain daily audit data per SQCPD requirements.
• Adhere to Health and Safety guidelines and promote safety.
• Carry out additional duties as required by Production Manager/Shift managers.
• Adhere to PPG Whitford policies.
