Job summary

W Talent is partnering with a global manufacturing organisation in Heanor, Derbyshire, to recruit a Production Planner for an 18-month secondment. You will manage daily production scheduling across assembly lines, coordinating with Planning, Inventory and Logistics teams to meet customer demand.

Based at the Heanor site, you will optimise capacity, maintain SAP data, and support new product introductions while driving continuous improvement in a high‑performing production environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in production planning or scheduling in manufacturing.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Experience with SAP in MM/PP/WM advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily production schedules across assembly lines and processes.
• Ensure plans support on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate production and planning data in SAP and related systems.
• Support SAP management and operations for efficient workflows.
• Manage work centre capacity to optimise efficiency and resource use.
• Communicate scheduling information across teams.
• Support new product introduction and release-to-production.
• Identify, resolve, and escalate scheduling issues.
• Support projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with operational teams to resolve priority conflicts.
