Job summary

Advanced Resource Managers is seeking a Production Scheduler to support a rail infrastructure maintenance programme. You will create, maintain and monitor production schedules, coordinating across engineering, maintenance, procurement and operations to ensure compliant delivery of works.

You will release and manage work orders, track progress and manage delays, while supporting resource and access planning in a safety-critical environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in production planning/scheduling within rail, transport, infrastructure, or engineering.
  • Strong SAP (or similar system) experience.
  • Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Experience working in regulated or safety-critical environments.

Vacancy Title: Production Scheduler

Sector: Rail / Infrastructure Maintenance

Location: West London (Onsite)

Rate: £36.76 per hour

Role Overview

A Production Scheduler is required to support a rail infrastructure maintenance programme, ensuring effective planning and coordination of engineering and maintenance activities within a live operational environment.


You will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and monitoring production schedules, coordinating across engineering, maintenance, procurement, and operational teams to ensure efficient and compliant delivery of works.


Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and maintain production schedules for maintenance and engineering activities

  • Coordinate workflows across multiple departments and suppliers

  • Track progress, manage delays, and update schedules accordingly

  • Release and manage work orders via SAP or similar systems

  • Ensure accurate reporting and record keeping

  • Support resource and access planning in a safety-critical environment

  • Identify issues and support continuous improvement


Essential Skills & Experience


  • Experience in production planning/scheduling within rail, transport, infrastructure, or engineering

  • Strong SAP (or similar system) experience

  • Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability

  • Experience working in regulated or safety-critical environments


Desirable


  • Rail or infrastructure maintenance background

  • Knowledge of maintenance planning or possession/access coordination

  • Process improvement experience
