We are seeking a Production Process Engineer to join our Manufacturing Production Engineering team based in Whitley. This role is crucial for ensuring the production of printed circuit boards (PCBs) and related products to high standards of design and manufacturing excellence.

Main Purpose of Role

The successful candidate will oversee the process flow from PCB assembly (PCBA) to top-level assembly, develop effective assembly methods, standard operating procedures, control document surveys, furnish product routings, inspection checklists, and improve assembly line efficiencies.

Contract Details

This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.

The Ideal Candidate

Must have proven hands-on experience in production process engineering, a relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience. Strong communication, collaboration, technical writing skills, and a proactive, problem-solving attitude are essential.

• Lead manufacturing and assembly processes, including pick and place, Waveflow, Soldering, and high-level assembly.
• Maintain and update product documentation and routings.
• Collaborate with process owners to identify issues and implement corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
• Engage in 6S initiatives to improve efficiency.
• Generate performance metrics and reports.
• Plan and manage individual and team projects.
• Provide technical support and training for assembly processes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• Degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with PCB assembly and top-level manufacturing.
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
• Good IT skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Team-oriented and collaborative approach.
