Rubicon Recruitment is seeking a Production Planning & Purchasing Administrator to manage customer and supplier schedules, generate production works orders and liaise across purchasing and logistics to ensure on-time delivery.

The role emphasizes accuracy, ownership of system entries, and maintaining timely updates on order status, with opportunities to support procurement processes and engage with a structured operations function.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment, preferably in production planning or purchasing.
• Proficient with MRP systems and EDI order processing.
• Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable liaising with customers and suppliers via phone, email and online portals.
• Experience supporting purchase order expediting or procurement processes is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process and maintain customer and supplier schedules and orders on the MRP system.
• Generate and issue production works orders in line with customer requirements and delivery deadlines.
• Liaise with customers and suppliers via email, phone and online portals to manage order status.
• Support the Purchasing Manager with purchase order expediting, generation and supplier surveys.
• Monitor and report on overdue purchase orders and supplier delivery schedule adherence.
• Maintain accurate filing and logistics query portal records.
