Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment is seeking a Production Planning & Purchasing Administrator to coordinate customer schedules, maintain accuracy from entry to delivery, and keep production and purchasing moving to schedule.

The role requires experience in manufacturing or logistics, familiarity with MRP systems and EDI, strong organisation, and ability to liaise with customers and suppliers via phone, email and portals.

Qualifications

• Experience within a manufacturing or logistics environment, ideally in production planning or purchasing.
• Confident working with MRP systems and EDI order processing.
• Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable liaising with customers and suppliers via phone, email and online portals.
• Experience supporting purchase order expediting or wider procurement processes an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process and maintain customer and supplier schedules and orders on the MRP system
• Generate and issue production works orders in line with customer requirements and delivery deadlines
• Liaise with customers and suppliers via email, phone and online portals to manage order status
• Support the Purchasing Manager with purchase order expediting, generation and supplier surveys
• Monitor and report on overdue purchase orders and supplier delivery schedule adherence
• Maintain accurate filing and logistics query portal records
