Production Planner - York | Precision Manufacturing

A well-established engineering and manufacturing business is seeking a Production Planner to join its collaborative operations team. This role plays a key part in ensuring high-quality products are delivered on time to meet customer expectations across sectors such as aerospace, defence, and communications.

The Opportunity

Working alongside an experienced planning colleague, you'll use data-driven insights and a deep understanding of production capabilities to create and manage efficient schedules. You'll help ensure that production teams consistently meet quality and delivery targets, while supporting continuous improvement across planning processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on team capacity and customer demand.
  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and propose practical solutions.
  • Support reporting and analysis to improve planning accuracy and responsiveness.
  • Contribute to the implementation and ongoing use of a new ERP system.
  • Collaborate across departments including Production, Purchasing, Quality, Logistics, Sales, and Finance.
