Job summary

W Talent is partnering with a global manufacturing organisation in Heanor, Derbyshire to recruit a Production Planner for an 18-month secondment. The role focuses on daily production scheduling, data integrity in SAP, and working closely with Planning, Inventory, and Logistics teams to meet customer demand and delivery targets.

The position offers scope for involvement in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Good working knowledge of SAP MM, with experience of SAP PP and WM being highly desirable.
New product introduction and release-to-production experience would be beneficial.
Strong analytical skills and numerical attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Manage daily production schedules across assembly lines and manufacturing processes.
Ensure production plans support on-time customer delivery and satisfaction.
Maintain accurate production and planning data within SAP and related systems.
Support SAP management and operation with accurate data and efficient workflows.
Manage work centre capacity to optimise production efficiency and resource utilisation.
Communicate scheduling and production information clearly across teams.
Support new product introductions and release-to-production activities.
Identify and resolve production and scheduling issues; escalate when needed.
Contribute to projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with operations to resolve priority conflicts and maintain production performance.
