Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting a Materials & Production Planner to join a busy manufacturing business. This role focuses on balancing customer demand with production capacity, managing the short-term plan, and coordinating orders within the ERP system.

You will work closely with Customer Service, Supply Chain, Production, Purchasing, Dispatch, Quality and Product Engineering to keep schedules accurate. Hybrid working up to two days from home, Monday to Friday, with a supportive team and growth

Qualifications

• Experience in production planning, scheduling, supply chain, order management or similar operations.
• ERP data entry accuracy and good MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Experience with ERP systems such as Fourth Shift or SAP is advantageous.
• Strong planning and organisational abilities with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage the short-term production plan and customer order schedules.
• Balance customer demand with available production capacity.
• Coordinate with Customer Service and Supply Chain to review demand and delivery dates.
• Communicate production risks, delays, and changes to stakeholders.
• Assess capacity constraints and support bottleneck reduction and backlog management.
• Adjust production priorities and schedules for urgent orders and workload balancing.
• Enter and maintain customer orders in the ERP system.
• Create and release production orders after checks are completed.
