Job summary

Kendal Nutricare Ltd is seeking a Production Planner for our Kendal site. You will develop and maintain production schedules, balance demand with capacity and materials, and coordinate with Procurement, Warehouse, QA, and Production teams to ensure smooth execution of the plan.

Based at our Kendal headquarters, the role runs Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm, with the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement of planning processes and delivery to our growing customer base across

Qualifications

• Experience in production planning within food manufacturing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using ERP/planning systems (CSB) preferred but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Support the Production Planner in creating and maintaining accurate production schedules.
• Coordinate material availability to ensure production runs efficiently.
• Monitor stock levels and stock rotation to minimise waste.
• Liaise with Procurement, Warehouse, QA, and Production teams to resolve planning and material issues.
• Track supplier deliveries and communicate delays or changes.
• Raise purchase orders and maintain accurate planning records.
• Monitor production progress and communicate schedule changes when required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of planning and scheduling processes.
