Job summary

Comxps Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced production planner for a full‑time, on‑site role in Burghfield. You will apply an engineering or manufacturing background to coordinate machining, shop floor operations and production scheduling.

You will manage material availability, supplier deliveries and POs, reforecast plans to counter supply chain challenges, and provide clear updates to stakeholders. SAP/ERP experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in production planning within manufacturing or precision engineering.
• Engineering background (Precision/Mechanical) with understanding of machining and shop floor operations.
• Experience managing material availability, supplier deliveries, POs, and production schedules.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional communication across supply chain, operations, and customer-facing teams.
• Good planning and reporting skills with forecasting analysis.

Responsibilities

• Plan production schedules to meet demand while optimizing capacity and material flow.
• Monitor material availability and manage supplier deliveries and purchase orders.
• Reforecast production plans in response to supply chain challenges and changes in demand.
• Provide accurate updates and reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

Essential

• The hiring manager is looking for 1 candidate with an engineering background, and 2 with manufacturing/materials background.


• Proven experience in production planning within a manufacturing or precision engineering environment.


• Engineering background (Precision Engineering/Mechanical or Manufacturing) with a strong understanding of machining processes, manufacturing routes, and shop floor operations.


• Experience managing material availability, supplier deliveries, purchase orders, and production schedules, with the ability to reforecast plans in response to supply chain challenges.


• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across supply chain, operations, manufacturing teams, suppliers, and customer-facing functions.


• Good computer literacy and planning/reporting skills, with experience tracking production performance, analysing forecasts, and delivering accurate updates to internal and external stakeholders.
