Role: Production PlannerLocation: Yeovil, Somerset

Salary / Rate of pay: GBP28,000 - GBP32,000 DOE

What's involved?

• Develop, maintain and monitor detailed daily/weekly production schedules in line with demand forecasts and customer requirements.
• Work cross-functionally with production, procurement, sales, and dispatch teams to ensure cohesive planning and timely delivery.
• Track production performance and adjust plans as necessary to maintain OTIF targets.
• Coordinate raw material availability with purchasing to avoid delays or excess inventory.
• Use demand forecasting data to support efficient production planning and inventory control.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply and production schedule.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across planning and production processes.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience in production planning, demand forecasting, or supply chain coordination, preferably within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Strong understanding of planning principles, with the ability to adjust plans dynamically based on changing demand or operational challenges.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills-able to work effectively across departments, including production, quality, and logistics.
• High level of organisational and time management ability, with an aptitude for multitasking and prioritising under pressure.
• Strong IT literacy, especially in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP or MRP systems is desirable.
• A proactive, analytical, and solution-focused mindset.
• Knowledge of food manufacturing processes or environments is preferred but not essential.
