Job summary

Oliver Rae Ltd in Wolverhampton is seeking a Production Planner to coordinate production schedules and liaise with suppliers. You will manage materials, stock levels and data accuracy while supporting operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Planning, Production Planning or Scheduling.
• Strong Excel and systems skills.
• Experience within Precision Machining, Steel, Fabrication, Engineering or similar manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate production schedules.

The Role

• Planning and coordinating production schedules
• Liaising with subcontractors and external suppliers
• Ordering materials and monitoring stock requirements
• Maintaining accurate system data and reporting
• Resource and capacity planning
• Progress chasing to ensure delivery targets are met
• Working closely with the shop floor and operational teams
• Updating customers on production plans and lead times
• Supporting the Operations Manager with day-to-day planning activities

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a Planning, Production Planning or Scheduling role
• Strong Excel and systems skills
• Experience within Precision Machining, Steel, Fabrication, Engineering or similar manufacturing environments
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach
