Our client is a leading, well-established, and respected manufacturing business.

Due to new procedures in the company, they have an opportunity for a Production Planner.

Duties:

1. Liaises with the sales division to determine customer requirements.
2. Approves materials, costs, manufacturing equipment, and the size of workforce needed to manufacture goods.
3. Predicts how long a project will take to complete.
4. Develops a production schedule detailing all tasks and when they should be completed to meet the predicted completion date.
5. Liaises with customers, suppliers, the human resources department, and maintenance employees to ensure all workers, materials, and machinery will be available when required.
6. Monitors project's progress to ensure it's following the schedule.
7. Troubleshoots problems that occur during production, including staff shortages and machinery malfunctions.
8. Organizes project paperwork, including purchase orders, and maintains records.
9. Monitors production and raw material costs.
10. Collects and assesses data about the production and team's performance.
11. Prepares reports about production processes for upper management and suggests ways to improve efficiency.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a production planner.
2. Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles.
3. Experience in MRP II (Manufacturing Resource Planning).
4. Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems.
5. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
