Job summary

Protec Fire and Security Group is seeking a highly organized Production Planner to join our manufacturing team. You will plan and coordinate production schedules to meet customer demand, working closely with production and procurement to ensure timely delivery of products.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in manufacturing planning, with experience in electronics, ERP/SAP systems, and strong communication and organizational skills. This role is on site in the UK.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English or equivalent qualifications.
• Minimum 3 years in supply chain or planning within manufacturing.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing.
• Proficient with PC software and ERP/SAP systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage production schedules based on orders, forecasts, and materials.
• Coordinate with production, procurement and other departments to meet goals.
• Adjust schedules for shortages, breakdowns or other delays.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Investigate production issues and develop resolutions.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Suggest process improvements to increase quality and capacity.
• Plan and forecast future production needs using historical data and sales projections.
• Meet production targets and deadlines.
• Ensure health and safety and company policies are followed.

Typical Responsibilities

• Develop and manage production schedules based on customer orders, demand forecasts, and material availability.
• Work with production team, supervisors, and other departments to align production goals and resolve any production delays or issues.
• Adjust production schedules as necessary due to material shortages, equipment breakdowns, or other production-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in the production process. Ensuring products meets the required quality standards.
• Investigate production issues and develop resolutions.
• Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.
• Suggest process improvements to enhance production quality and capacity.
• Participate in the planning and forecasting of future production requirements based on historical data and sales projections.

Qualifications

• Minimum of GCSEs, Maths and English, or further education qualifications

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in supply chain or planning with in manufacturing.
• Experienced background in electronics manufacture
• Proficiency with PC literacy software. Experience with ERP/SAP systems
