Job summary

Henderson Brown Recruitment is seeking an experienced Production Planner for a successful FMCG business in the United Kingdom. You will create and maintain daily production plans, balancing customer demand, forecasts, line rates and labour availability to maximise productivity and service levels.

You will collaborate with Production, Supply Chain and customers to ensure raw materials and packaging are available, support new product launches, and provide KPI and capacity reports to the S&OP

Qualifications

• Experience in Production Planning within FMCG or manufacturing.
• Strong forecasting, scheduling and capacity planning knowledge.
• Proficient in ERP/planning systems and Excel.

Job description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Planner to join a successful FMCG business and play a key role within their Supply Chain team.

You will be responsible for creating and maintaining effective daily production plans, balancing customer demand, forecasts, line rates and labour availability to maximise productivity and service levels. You'll work closely with Production, Supply Chain and customers to ensure raw materials and packaging are available, while supporting new product launches, promotional activity and peak-period planning. The role will also involve maintaining accurate ERP data, analysing planning information and producing KPI and capacity reports to support the wider S&OP process.

The ideal candidate will have previous Production Planning experience within FMCG or manufacturing, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and experience using an ERP system. Excellent Excel and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to build strong relationships across different departments and with customers.
