Partnership Recruiting is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator/Production Planner to join a growing engineering business in Scotland. You will coordinate production resources, maintain project plans and ensure teams have the information and resources needed to deliver successful projects.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Project Coordination, Production Planning or Resource Planning.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project skills.
  • Experience managing schedules, resources and project reporting.
  • Understanding of project planning and delivery.
  • Experience in engineering/manufacturing/production environment desirable.
  • Strong communication across teams.
  • Practical, results-focused approach with problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining production and resource plans across current and upcoming projects
  • Working with Production Managers, Supervisors and Project Managers to keep plans and project information up to date
  • Liaising with Commercial teams to understand upcoming projects, resource requirements and workload impacts
  • Managing and updating project schedules using Microsoft Project and Excel
  • Tracking project progress, completion dates, resource requirements and potential delays
  • Supporting daily and weekly production planning and identifying resource shortages, absences and operational issues
  • Coordinating resources, equipment and operational activities to support project delivery
  • Supporting resource forecasting and identifying potential recruitment requirements
  • Identifying opportunities to improve production efficiency and resource utilisation
  • Ensuring relevant project documentation, work instructions and sign-offs are completed
  • Supporting production-related timekeeping, absence, timesheet and HR administration

Are you an experienced Project Coordinator, Production Planner or Resource Planner looking for a new opportunity within a growing engineering business?

We are working with a successful and expanding engineering business with an excellent reputation for high-quality project delivery. Due to continued growth and an increasing project portfolio, they are looking for an organised and proactive Project Coordinator to join their team.

This is a key role responsible for coordinating production resources, maintaining project plans and ensuring teams have the information and resources required to deliver projects successfully.

About the Role

You will create and manage production and resource plans across a varied project portfolio, working closely with Production, Project Management and Commercial teams to ensure resources are effectively planned and potential issues are identified early.

Key responsibilities include:

About You

We are looking for someone who is highly organised, commercially aware and confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced engineering or production environment.

You will ideally have:
  • Experience in Project Coordination, Production Planning, Resource Planning or a similar role
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience with Microsoft Project or similar planning software
  • Experience managing schedules, resources and project reporting
  • An understanding of project planning and delivery
  • Experience within an engineering, manufacturing, production or operational environment is desirable
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across different teams
  • A practical, results-focused approach with the ability to identify problems and find solutions

Industry-specific experience is preferred but not essential. The key requirement is strong planning, coordination and resource management experience, together with a willingness to learn and develop within a specialist engineering environment.
