Production Planner – Food Manufacturing

Location: Callington

Salary: Up to £38,000

Shift Pattern: Friday to Monday 06.30 - 16.30

Butler Rose are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client, a renowned food manufacturer based in Callington, who are seeking an experienced Production Planner to join their dynamic Supply Chain team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in coordinating and directing the manufacturing process, ensuring resources and materials are utilised effectively to deliver excellent customer service at optimum cost.

The Role

As Production Planner, you will:

  • Compile and manage daily and weekly production plans across prep, production, and packing.
  • Balance capacity within a 2‑week horizon to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime.
  • Monitor despatch stocks and resolve discrepancies.
  • Act as the guardian of customer service performance, communicating effectively across teams.
  • Generate KPI dashboards for service, plan conformance, and waste reduction.
  • Coordinate product trials, promotional activity, and other exceptional production requirements.
  • Conduct data analysis, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
About You

We are looking for someone who brings:

  • Previous planning or scheduling experience within food manufacturing (desirable).
  • Strong Excel skills (advanced level preferred).
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • A problem‑solving mindset with the confidence to make decisions under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders.
