Job summary

STERIS is recruiting a Production Operative for our Medisafe division in the UK. You will work in the grit blasting department, handling metal tanks and bonding transducers to deliver high-quality products.

This hands-on role requires manual handling, a proactive approach to lean improvement, and the ability to follow drawings and work instructions while collaborating with a team to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Ability to read drawings and follow work instructions to a high level.
• Understanding of time management, logistics and process control.
• Ability to maintain records.
• Previous grit blasting / powder coating / similar finishing work experience.

Responsibilities

• Grit blasting a variety of different tanks and accessory products under controlled conditions.
• Clean and preparation of tanks, application of adhesive materials for transducers.
• Assembly of fixtures and jigs prior to bonding.
• Inspection of finished goods before issue to assembly line.
• Maintenance of machines and general house keeping of blasting and bonding areas.
