Job summary

Shepley Spring Ltd. is a family-run bottled water manufacturer seeking a Production Operative to support the smooth running of the site’s production lines. You will operate machinery, handle materials and help ensure products meet safety, hygiene and quality standards.

The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork and adherence to GMP/HACCP, with responsibilities across quality checks, packing, stock checks and general housekeeping in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a food and beverage manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
• Basic understanding of food safety, hygiene and quality control processes.
• Ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, carrying and moving materials.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in operating production machinery and equipment according to SOPs.
• Monitor production lines for quality and safety, ensuring products meet standards.
• Carry out basic troubleshooting and adjustments to maintain efficient production.
• Pack, label and prepare finished goods for storage or shipment with accuracy.
• Carry out quality checks and maintain production records.
• Maintain clean and organized production areas, following GMP/HACCP.
