Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Production Operative for day shifts in Whittlesey. Hours: Mon-Thu 8:00–15:30, Fri 6:30–14:00.

You will set up and operate production machinery, ensure products meet quality standards, and support the team to meet daily targets while maintaining safety and efficiency. The role emphasizes accuracy, reliability, and teamwork, with opportunities for training and development within a large sustainability-focused organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience as a machine operator is desirable but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
• A proactive attitude with good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility and willingness to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machinery in line with production requirements.
• Help drive continuous improvement, resolve minor issues, and maximise efficiency.
• Complete quality checks to ensure products meet required standards.
• Support daily production targets while minimising waste.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
• Report faults, maintenance needs, or quality concerns promptly.
• Follow all health & safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company standards.
