Job summary

Ethypharm is recruiting for a Production Operator – Orals Nights at our Romford site. You will join a team producing pharmaceutical products, following cGMP standards and supporting quality and engineering to maintain high production standards.

Roles include documentation, GMP compliance, and teamwork in a 37.5-hour weekly night shift (Sun-Thur, 10pm-6am). Full time permanent contract with sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

  • GCSE (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
  • Basic PC literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong numerical skills and ability to read/understand numerical data.
  • Experience working in a structured, process-driven environment.
  • Experience operating machinery.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Accurate documentation: Complete batch manufacturing records accurately, neatly, and with integrity to ensure compliance at all times.
  • GMP compliance: Follow detailed GMP working instructions and guidelines to produce high-quality products.
  • Collaboration with Engineering: Work closely with the Engineering team to support the resolution of machine breakdowns.
  • Teamwork: Work effectively with colleagues to complete batch-to-batch tasks efficiently and minimise downtime.
  • Quality control: Carry out quality checks at various stages of the process to maintain product and patient safety.

What you will do
As a Production Operator, you will work as part of a team producing high-quality pharmaceutical products focused on the treatment of pain, addiction, and critical care. You will ensure all production activities are carried out in line with current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) standards.
Key responsibilities:

  • Accurate documentation: Complete batch manufacturing records accurately, neatly, and with integrity to ensure compliance at all times.
  • GMP compliance: Follow detailed GMP working instructions and guidelines to produce high-quality products.

Working environment

  • You will be required to wear cleanroom garments, including a one-piece suit and PPE (including powered respirators).
  • Candidates must be able to stand for extended periods and undertake manual handling.
  • You must demonstrate good hygiene practices and apply training to minimise contamination risk.

About you
You will ideally have knowledge of cGMP and experience in pharmaceuticals or a similar regulated environment (full training will be provided). You will be process-driven, detail-focused, and an effective communicator.
Basic qualifications and skills
