Job summary

FINTEC recruit Ltd in Inverness is seeking a reliable Production Operator for a full-time, permanent role. You will operate and maintain plant and machinery, supporting safe and efficient production in line with HSE and quality procedures.

Reporting to the Shift Manager, you will monitor equipment, keep accurate logs, contribute to maintenance tasks, assist with fire safety, and coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operation. Salary is £35,631 rising to £39,591 after probation.

Qualifications

  • Background in manufacturing, production, processing, or continuous operating environment.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and accurate record keeping.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain plant and machinery to expected standards in line with company Health and Safety policy.
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with QA manual requirements.
  • Monitor and control the working area, carrying out checks and basic maintenance as required.
  • Monitor equipment operating parameters, maintain accurate logs, and report deviations or process interruptions to relevant personnel.
  • Support fire safety procedures and monitor fire-fighting equipment in conjunction with the fire team leader.
  • Ensure Planned Maintenance is carried out in line with manufacturer recommendations.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and promote a safe working environment for employees and visitors.
  • Liaise with other departments to support the safe and efficient running of the area.
  • Assist with hazard identification, risk assessments, and the development and review of Safe Systems of Work.
  • Follow operational EHS procedures and ensure all EHS incidents are reported.

Our client is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Production Operator to join their team at their Inverness site on a full-time, permanent basis. About You

We would welcome applications from candidates with a background in manufacturing, production, processing, or another continuous operating environment. You should be qualified to Higher Education level or have suitable relevant experience, with a strong commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and accurate record keeping.
