Job summary

Halma plc is looking for a Production Operator in Abingdon. You will be part of our Service Team at Crowcon Detection Instruments, responsible for the servicing and calibration of lifesaving gas detection devices. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a GCSE in Maths & English, and preferably have 2 years of manufacturing experience. Join us in creating sensing solutions designed to save lives daily.

Qualifications

• GCSE grade C or above in Maths & English is essential.
• 2 years experience in manufacturing or assembly is desirable.
• Awareness of lean and continuous improvement methodology is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine service and calibration on Gas Detection devices.
• Investigate and identify root causes of device failures.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement Activities.

You will be part of a team focussed on delivering quality service to its customers, as well as work on a range of Gas Detection devices carrying out routine service and calibration activities as per company procedures.
