Job summary

Dr. Oetker Leyland site is seeking Production Operatives to join a high-volume food manufacturing environment. You will operate machinery across Bakery, Topping or Packaging lines, perform quality and safety checks, and contribute to ISO/GMP/HACCP-compliant processes.

The role offers full training with opportunities for internal promotion in a modern, hygienic facility known for its backlog of Pizza brands and strong team culture. Rotating AM/PM shifts across Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG or fast-paced production is advantageous.
• Team player with clear, professional communication.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow SOPs and work under pressure.
• Flexibility to work rotating AM/PM shifts (Mon–Fri).

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery or support production in Bakery, Topping, or Packaging areas.
• Carry out quality and food safety checks (e.g. visual inspections, CCP verifications, traceability).
• Identify and elevate non-conformances in line with ISO, FSSC, GMP and HACCP standards.
• Support smooth changeovers, maintain standards, and complete documentation accurately.
• Collaborate with team, supervisors and support functions to drive site performance.

What you’ll do as a Production Operative

As a key part of our production team, you will:

• Operate machinery or support production processes in our Bakery, Topping, or Packaging areas
• Carry out quality and food safety checks (e.g. visual inspections, CCP verifications, traceability)
• Identify and elevate non-conformances in line with ISO, FSSC, GMP and HACCP standards
• Support smooth changeovers, maintain standards, and ensure accurate completion of documentation
• Work collaboratively with your team, supervisors and support functions to drive site performance

Full training is provided — but experience in food manufacturing, FMCG or fast-paced production environments is a real advantage.
