Job summary

Dr. Oetker (UK) Limited is offering a Warehouse Operative position in Leyland focusing on Palletising and Despatch. The role involves ensuring safety and accuracy in despatch, handling goods, and operating pallet movement systems.

Training will be provided for equipment and processes. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced production environment, with a focus on accuracy and health & safety, and enjoy a role that combines warehouse and palletising tasks in a permanent full-time

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures.
• Highly motivated, proactive and innovative.
• Can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
• Previous experience with machinery or technically minded.
• Excellent attention to detail to detect and correct production line errors.

Responsibilities

• Warehouse Operations: Ensure health & safety practices in line with company policies.
• Despatch order checking against SAP documentation and accuracy of warehouse paperwork.
• Picking and Put away – allocation and distribution of Finish Goods.
• Safe operation of the Warehouse pallet movement systems.
• Reach, Counterbalance FLT and Powered Pallet Truck experience (desirable; full training provided).
• Palletising Operations: Daily set up of machines to start production cycle.
• Feeding materials/pallets to semi-automated machines.
• Responsible for housekeeping within their area (clean as you go).
• Good understanding of food safety culture.
• Ability to work in a physical, chilled environment with bending, lifting and manual handling.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Warehouse Operations

• Ensure that all health & safety practices are followed in line with company policies
• Despatch order checking against warehouse SAP documentation and accuracy in completion of all warehouse paperwork
• Picking and Put away - allocation and distribution of Finish Goods
• Safe operation of the Warehouse pallet movement systems
• Reach, Counterbalance FLT and Powered Pallet Truck experience (desirable but full training will be given)

Palletising Operations

• Daily Set up of machines to start the production cycle
• Feeding materials / pallets to semi-automated machines
• Responsible for housekeeping within their area (clean as you go)
• Good understanding of food safety culture
• Ability to work in a physical, chilled environment with activities to include bending, lifting and basic manual handling
