Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting a production operative for a premium pet food producer in Okehampton. You will work on end-of-line packaging, operate packing machinery and sometimes assist in the cook plant. Training is provided and shifts rotate between days and nights.

Shifts are 06:00–14:00, 14:00–22:00, and 22:00–06:00, with overtime paid after 37.5 hours. Benefits include free parking, canteen facilities and the potential for a longer-term role.

Qualifications

End-of-line packaging experience and ability to operate packaging machinery.

Responsibilities

Manning end-of-line packaging machines.
Occasional work in the cook plant.
Operation of packing lines and adherence to safety procedures.

Job description

Our client, a premium pet food producer is looking for a production operative to start immediately at their modern purpose built factory based in Okehampton.

Main duties of the job involve working on end of line packing, manning machines and occasionally working in the cook plant. Full training is given with these positions. Night shifts are set night shifts and day shifts are rotating shift patterns.

SHIFT SCHEDULE

06:00 to 14:00 Monday to Friday
14:00 to 22:00 Monday to Friday
22:00 to 06:00 Monday to Friday (Nights)

PAY RATE

£13.60ph (Day shift and Back shift). Over time paid at £20.40ph after 37.5 hours worked per week.
£14.79ph (Nights). Overtime paid £22.19ph (Nights) after 37.5 hours worked per week.
