Job summary

Interaction Recruitment Group are delighted to be working on behalf of our Carlisle client, a well-established manufacturing business, to recruit a Production Operative / Manufacturing Operative. You will join a busy production team, assembling parts and operating a range of machinery (laser cutting, turret punch, pedestal drill, band saw, tapping).

Full training will be provided. This is a permanent, 40-hour-per-week role (Mon-Fri, 8:00am-4:30pm) with enhanced overtime, 28 days' holiday,

Qualifications

• The successful candidate will ideally have experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
• A positive, hands-on approach to production work.
• A continuous improvement mindset.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
• An FLT licence would be advantageous but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Operating a Laser Cutting Machine – full training provided.
• Operating a Turret Punch – full training provided.
• Operating a pedestal drill.
• Operating a band saw.
• Operating a thread tapping machine.
• Deburring and cleaning components.
• Ensuring all work is completed to the required quality standards.
• Maintaining a safety-first approach at all times.
• Supporting a continuous improvement culture across the production environment.

The Role

Working as part of the production team, you will be responsible for assembling parts and products while operating a range of manufacturing machinery and equipment.
