Job summary

Avara Foods is seeking an Intake Production Operative for our Brackley site in Northamptonshire. You will work on a fast-paced FMCG production line, maintaining hygiene standards and supporting a safe, efficient operation.

The role involves handling live birds, adhering to welfare guidelines, using PPE, and performing routine cleaning and lifting tasks. Full training is provided, with shift patterns and opportunities for overtime. Brackley site offers a secure contract and regular hours.

Qualifications

• Good level of English and basic numeracy.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and a flexible attitude to tasks.
• Relevant experience is desirable, but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Place birds correctly on the production line while following welfare requirements.
• Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
• Clean equipment and modules on a rotation schedule.
• Lift ~2 kg per bird on a repetitive basis.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday starting at 06:15 finishing at 17:50 (4 out of 5 days, one rotating day off)

About The Role

As a Production Operative you’ll be working in a fast-paced, dynamic FMCG factory environment which is noisy and refrigerated in some areas, manufacturing short shelf-life products where hygiene standards are critical.

• Ensuring all birds are correctly placed on the production line whilst observing strict bird welfare requirements
• Wearing the required and correct PPE at all times
• Cleaning equipment and modules on rotation schedule
• Lifting in the region of 2kg per bird on a repetitive basis
