Job summary

Manpower in Warwick is hiring a Production Operative (Engineering) to join a hands-on role assembling hydraulic hoses for industrial and mobile applications. Shifts are 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm, rotating weekly with an early finish on Friday, and a strong emphasis on precision and safety.

You'll read and follow standard work instructions, verify dimensions with gauges, and ensure quality is at the heart of every batch.

Qualifications

• Experience in production/assembly environment.
• Ability to read and follow written standard work instructions.
• Numeracy skills and ability to use gauges including vernier readings.
• Practical, hands-on approach to problem solving.
• Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to safe working practices and quality.

Responsibilities

• Fit and assemble hydraulic hoses, including attaching hose ends and crimp assemblies
• Cut raw hose to length and check for defects such as damage or flattening
• Regularly verify set dimensions against work instructions
• Follow Standard Work instructions set by Production Supervision, working with minimum supervision
• Complete and sign works orders at the end of each batch to confirm completion
• Record any test failures and raise quality issues when needed
• Support LEAN activities and contribute to problem-solving and team board updates
• Work safely in hose assembly and test areas, following 5S practices
• Carry out Basic Total Preventative Maintenance as required
