Production Operative Early Shift

Chemring Countermeasures is a world leading and innovative company, designing and developing countermeasure solutions to armed forces throughout the world. We are part of the Chemring Group of companies and have a solid global infrastructure, which also helps us to thrive.

The Production Operative will be required to multi-skill across process areas as required to support production output.

The responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):

• Follow process instructions to assist in achieving daily output
• Follow all health and safety procedures
• Wearing full PPE Lead
• Weigh fill and press Squib Cartridges
• Manufacture and preparation for Chaff productions
• Assembly of Flares
• Ensure compliance with the Core Health & Safety Cire Training
• Quality control of all products
• Handling of pyrotechnic products
  
  

Production Operative Specification

• Right to live and work in the UK, with ability to obtain a BPSS
• Ability to wear full PPE
• Previously worked in a similar environment
• Safety knowledge
  
  

This role will be worked over 4 days, working 34 hours per week, Mon to Thurs 06:00 15:15pm. Flexibility in this role is critical to the success of supporting the team.

The successful candidate will receive a salary of £23196.16- £26,360.88 depending on the length of service already held within the business.

Level 2 - 6 to 12 months service

Level 3 - 12 months service or more
